DAMA Code of Conduct
and Ethics
In order that DAMA International may better
achieve its purposes, the following Code of Conduct and Ethics is adopted and shall govern
the conduct of all officers, individual members, and guest attendees, speakers, and
presenters of DAMA International and affiliated DAMA chapters. All such persons, in
connection with all DAMA International and affiliated chapters business matters and
activities, must:
Conduct themselves and their activities in a professional manner marked by integrity
and spirit of fair play at all times
Refrain from engaging in any activity which would violate the proprietary rights of
their employers, DAMA International, affiliated chapters, or any person of organization
Abide by the Guidelines and Policies of DAMA International and affiliated chapters
Properly register and certify membership in good standing for DAMA International and/or
affiliated chapters and their associated activities
NOT engage in any sales activity, including direct or indirect solicitation, or conduct
any other activity contrary to the purposes or policies of DAMA International and
affiliated chapters
NOT distribute any material or post displays of any kind at DAMA International or
affiliated chapter sponsored activities without prior approval and express written consent
of DAMA International or affiliated chapters, respectively
NOT use the DAMA International name or logo other than in the conduct of DAMA
International business as determined by the Board of Directors of DAMA International
without prior approval and express written consent of the President of DAMA International
NOT use tape recorders or video cameras to record a DAMA International activity or
presentation without prior approval and express written consent of the Board of DAMA
International and the speakers/presenters
