Synopsis: More data, more users, more complex queries.  The data warehouse is being asked to work harder, and smarter than ever before, and for less money and less resources.  Organizations like Google, B of A and the Dept. of Defense are leveraging the evolution of the data warehouse appliance for strategic EDW's and tactical data marts.  Performance has been massively improved while total cost of ownership has gone down.  How?
About:

Kyle Elliott is a 20 year veteran of the data warehouse, Business Intelligence and analytics industry.  Kyle spent many years at Informatica, one of the pioneer data integration companies that helped shape the data warehousing industry today.  Kyle most recently spent 4 years building Celequest with Informatica's former founder Diaz Nesamoney.  Celequest is a BPM (Business Performance Management; operational dashboard and exception alert business intelligence and streaming analytics engine.  Celequest was acquired by Cognos in late 2006.  Kyle is currently Netezza's Western Region Strategic Government and Financial Services Sales Executive.  Netezza is the data warehouse appliance leader.  Netezza combines MPP hardware, data base software and storage together in a single appliance for 10-100X better BI and analytic application performance for 1/3 the operational cost, dramatically less support and reduced energy consumption.
