Presentation: Applying powerful object oriented (OO) relations may be useful in modeling semantic relations. After a brief review of major OO relations and their comparison to accustomed associations and hierarchies, Dr. Gur will share some thoughts about application of OO methods to the problem of establishing a new lexicon. He will use Enterprise Architecture as an example.

Dr. Gur was born in Russia. He received his Master's degree from Moscow Institute of Engineering Physics, and PhD? (Doctor of Science) from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. 

His major work experience of 20+ years, is in R&D, enterprise architecture, interdisciplinary software engineering, and industrial & applied mathematics. His IT experience covers software architecture, software development, development and maintenance methodologies, hardware, data storage, networks, and Telecom. During his career he held positions of Senior Software Engineer, Senior Systems Architect of Eastman Kodak, Director of Software Development, CTO of State & Local Markets division of MCI, Technical Director of Enterprise Data Architecture for MCI's IT, and Chief Enterprise Solutions Architect. 

Over the years Dr. Gur has authored 29 publications in international engineering and scientific journals. He is one of contributors and co-authors of eTOM - business process model for Telecom Operations published by international Tele-Management Forum in 2003. 

Dr. Gur is known to California Government as creator and principal architect of the California Emission System for DCA-BAR (1995), still in production today.
