" The Services Oriented Host
- SOA and existing applications"

What is does a service oriented architecture (SOA) offer?  What will SOA offer in the future?  Ron will briefly discuss the aspects of a SOA, the layers of the SOA, and how steadily rising expectations are driving IT to a model such as SOA that supports continuous change.  He will then discuss what a SOA offers to legacy systems using an end-user scenario as an illustration.  After his presentation he will answer questions and discuss issues with us.

Ron Nunan, Director of Product Management,    Connector Services, Attachmate Corporation
Ron Nunan has over 12 years of experience with Attachmate.  He plays a vital role in the company's product development and applied technology strategies.  He works closely with worldwide customers to determine technical needs for host access and to develop practical integrated business solutions.  He brings the valuable feedback from these engagements to Attachmate's engineering group for future product enhancements and product direction. Previously, Mr. Nunan worked in the financial/accounting software industry.  He was a systems consultant, providing architecture assistance on integration with existing IBM-based solutions.
