Microsoft's Vision of Integration
Kathrine will present industry
initiatives and future visions from Microsoft's perspective. She will discuss
the importance of standards in integration, the current status and future
of XML. a product roadmap for Microsoft's SQL Server, and the role of the
next version of Office for managing information in a heterogeneous environment.

Kathrine Lord has 12 years of industry experience in developing and
deploying information systems. She is currently the State & Local Government
West Region Managing Technical Specialist. She manages a team of System
Engineers covering the 13 Western States. Prior to joining Microsoft, Kathrine
was the CIO and Information Technology Director for the Arizona Department
of Education where she oversaw the development of several statewide information
systems in Arizona. Kathrine also has extensive knowledge on information
management with various Database Management Systems and other industry initiatives
like XML.
