October The Rational Unified Process (RUP) and the Zachman Framework: Competitors or Allies?
    Terry Moriarty, President
     Inastrol

The Zachman Enterprise Systems Architecture Framework comes to the rescue. While some have suggested that the RUP can replace the Zachman Framework, in truth, these techniques are attacking two different, but related problems. The Zachman Framework illustrates what information resource things need to be managed. The RUP describes one approach for creating and managing some of those things.  Ms. Moriarty will demonstrate how the Zachman Framework can be used to position the RUP within an enterprise information management architecture. She will introduce an enterprise data management architecture that incorporates all users of enterprise data, including OO applications and data marts.
